Never Give Up
The program began with a single story. A young woman applying for an early scholarship wrote that her mother was blind and her sister was autistic and that she wanted nothing more than to teach special education because of what she lived through. For Judy, that essay crystalized everything: investing in people is the most powerful change you can make.
Inspired by Ms. Seinfeld's powerful credo — "Never Give Up"— the Seinfeld Scholars Program honors excellence, creativity, and the transformative power of education across all paths and stages of life.
One can never give up hope. If you give up hope, you’ve given up everything.

The program recognizes exceptional faculty and students who contribute to the beauty of the world, advance human values and work to end human suffering. It champions those who demonstrate passion for excellence, creativity, and originality in their fields, while possessing the rare ability to motivate and bring out the best in others.
These scholars believe in paying it forward—actively mentoring, advocating and planting seeds for future generations. Through genuine relationships and diverse perspectives, they create lasting legacies that extend far beyond their time at Syracuse, ensuring that every educational journey is recognized as unique and valuable.
A Seinfeld Scholar means more than just getting a good grade. It means being a whole person.
